does anyone have any idea where I might be able to get one of these vintage Vox Clock 3 talking alarm clocks from the 80's? I loved that thing as a kid, and really really wish I had one as an adult. I've been wanting one of these things for a lot of years now, and just recently found out which clock it is I was after. this is for sure the one clock I've liked best out of all of them that I owned. mine stopped working *cries*
I've wanted this thing since it quit when I was maybe 8 or so.
Here is a Youtube link of the alarm.

Ebay I guess would be your best bet, but as someone who owned one and wants one again myself, I'm pretty sure you will have no luck. My guess is because they were often seen as poor quality, fragile goods, despite the fact that they were some of the most pleasant sounding clocks I can remember owning.

That male voice is very easy to understand. to this day from the clocks I've heard, nobody's come close yet.

I liked the watch, too!

I've never owned one, but from that Youtube link, I'd love to have it.
Most of the modern talking clocks have really grating female voices that are annoying. And those rooster crows are enough to make you smash the thing.
The alarm was quite pleasant and sounded as though it would be worth waking up to. At the moment, I use my Braille Note's alarm. It will make you jump out of bed for sure, like a rocket, lol. So it serves its purpose, I suppose, but sometimes I'd like to not wake up practically having a panic attack.

Ah, Cubert! I loved him. I never had one but 2 of my VI friends. did. Good luck finding this one. My best guess would be Ebay.

I have one of these. Who wants to start the bidding? *grin*

Guess I'd better find it and make sure it still works.

I prefer the Vox 2, the little cube from the mid 80s. I bought mine in 1986, and it's still going strong, knock a bunch of wood.

Oh yeah, but the holy grail of vintage talking clocks, for me, is the Timex SpeakEasy. 1982, or thereabouts. Love that voice! I had one, and someone accidentally threw it away, in the process of a move. I am still crushed, about it. They're really rare.
